OUR DC includes resident teams, organizations, coalitions, co-ops, membership groups, program teams, building groups, and community partnerships committed to working better together to build people power.
Teamwork is People Power
Teamwork doesn’t fail because people don’t care enough. Teams struggle because too much responsibility, coordination, support, and follow-through remain unrecognized.
OUR DC is a Team Building organization building people power by recognizing teamwork in real time.
Teamwork is often under-recognized.
Important teamwork often lives in someone’s head, random conversations, informal follow-up, and the efforts of a few people carrying too much for too long. When teams cannot see the work being completed, participation goes down and the teamwork becomes unsustainable.
Usually, the problem is not a lack of teamwork. The problem is unrecognized teamwork. This type of people power is often called “hidden labor”.
We support many types of teams.
OUR DC supports Teams Getting Started, Team Members, Team Leaders, Team Partners, and Team Communities working to build stronger teamwork together.
Team Checks, Team Training, Workshops, and Teamwork Apps help teams recognize what people are carrying so responsibility becomes easier to support, coordinate, and sustain together.
